Launched in April 2017, the association Les Amis du Musée maritime et portuaire invites you to become a player in the maritime and port heritage of the “city of Jean-Bart”!
Our association, created in 2017, has set itself the goal of promoting the maritime history of our city, which the collections of the Musée maritime et portuaire de Dunkerque showcase so well in the unique setting of the former tobacco warehouse.
The Friends of the Museum association is a privileged place for exchanges and sharing between its members, whether they are from the maritime world, defenders of local history or simply attached to this beautiful Museum.
It supports the Museum's teams and contributes to the Museum's outreach and development, supporting its events and enriching its collections.
The association also offers its members a wide range of original events, always related to the maritime world.
COME AND JOIN US, YOU'LL BENEFIT:
- free admission to the museum, the ships and the lighthouse,
- free V.I.P. visits to the museum's temporary exhibitions,
- 20% discount in the store (excluding books and sales-deposits)
- conferences, visits and outings organized by the association,
- and a dematerialized version of the quarterly association newsletter “Nouvelles du bord”.
and, if you wish, you can volunteer for some of the museum's own events and activities.
