The museum immerses visitors in the history of the town and its port. Its 40,000-odd exhibits illustrate the evolution of navigation, the boats that plied its waters and the professions associated with this world. They include ethnographic and technical objects, paintings and engravings, as well as archival documents, photographs and films, providing invaluable testimony to Dunkirk’s maritime heritage.
