The museum and its various sites will be exceptionally closed on Sunday 6 July 2025, Monday 7 July 2025 and Wednesday 9 July 2025.

The Risban lighthouse will be closed on Tuesday 08 July, Monday 14 July, Wednesday 23 July, Wednesday 06 August and Wednesday 20 August 2025.

The museum and its various sites are closed on 25 December, 1 January, 1 May and the Monday before Mardi Gras (carnival: Citadelle strip).

Boats ans Risban lighthouse
The boats and Risban lighthouse are not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

By car :

From Calais: A16 – Exit 60
From Lille: A25 – A16 – Exit 60
From Belgium: E40 – A16 – Exit 60
Direction Dunkerque city centre then Musée portuaire.

By train :

The SNCF station is a 10-minute walk from the museum.

By bus :

via the ‘Parc Marine’ stop served by buses C2 and C4 (100% free bus network).

On foot and by bike:

There are many cycle paths around the museum and in Dunkirk, thanks in particular to the vélomaritime.
