Corporate sponsorship: an essential commitment for the museum

The Maritime and Port Museum benefits from the support of the public authorities, in particular the Dunkerque Urban Community, the City of Dunkerque and the Hauts-de-France Region. However, some projects would not have been possible without the invaluable support of corporate sponsors.

Thanks to this commitment, the museum has been able to enhance its collections, acquire new items and modernise its permanent tour to offer visitors an ever-improving experience.

The support of our patrons also plays a key role in ensuring that culture is accessible to all, particularly young people and people in precarious or difficult circumstances.

Finally, their contribution is essential to the development of temporary exhibitions, which help to promote the maritime and port history of Dunkirk to as many people as possible.

The Corporate Patrons Club
Nearly 50 members committed for over 25 years

Since its creation in 1997, the Corporate Patrons Club has brought together the region’s economic players around a shared commitment: to support culture and the development of Dunkirk’s maritime heritage.

While the museum’s mission is to preserve and pass on the history of the port, it also plays a key role in understanding today’s port issues, their economic impact and their place in a globalised world.

Joining the Corporate Patrons Club means :

  • Actively supporting local culture and heritage preservation
  • Involving your company in a meaningful project
  • Participating in exclusive events and strengthening your local ties

With 49 corporate sponsors, the Club helps to bring many cultural and educational projects to fruition each year.
Together, let’s bring Dunkirk’s maritime and port history to life!
